Caroline Lawless is a SAG-E actor based in the Southeast.

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by. I’m a character actress drawn to roles that are wild, fearless, heartbreakingly vulnerable and just a little chaotic. If you’re looking for a quirky girl next door or the slightly silly BFF of your romantic lead, I’m your gal! (I also look pretty good in period costumes.)

I’m a North Carolina-based SAG-E actor who can work as a local hire to the entire Southeastern market. I was born in a small town in Virginia mostly known for NASCAR and these little red hot dogs that I still can’t believe I used to eat as a child. Although I spent a lot of time forcing my younger brother to perform alongside me in self-written and -directed scenes (much to his horror), I wasn’t formally introduced to the magic of the stage and screen until my freshman year of high school when I joined the Drama Club.

For whatever reason, I decided to pursue a “practical” career after high school and obtained a B.A. in Graphic Design with a minor in Creative Writing and Literature from Emory & Henry. However, my love for acting never wavered. After spending nearly a decade behind the camera working as a graphic designer and commercial photographer, I made the decision to pursue my childhood dream of becoming an actor in 2019 after signing with KUTalent Agency. My experience as multi-hyphenate artist gives me a unique insight into the craft of creating fully-realized, grounded characters on film, television and the stage.

I might not have a degree in theatre, but I’ve spent countless hours making up for that fact by studying under numerous instructors at Moonlight Stage Company, including Estes Tarver, Katie Paxton and Ray Dooley, Professor Emeritus at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My technique is influenced by Uta Hagen, Warner Loughlin and Sanford Meisner. I have experience in improv, physical comedy, industrial, commercial, film, new media and theatrical productions.

When I’m not in class or on set, you can find me at the barre studying the Cecchetti ballet method at The Ballet School of Chapel Hill. Since I’m a full-time freelancer, I also work regularly as a Production Assistant (PA), Script/Continuity Supervisor and behind-the-scenes/still photographer on indie film projects in the Southeast.

Let’s work together, okay? I promise it’ll be a blast.
